Sadullah Paşa Waterfront Residence 1977

The waterfront residence features the characteristics of the latter half of 18th century architecture and has a central hall plan, which reflects the classical waterfront residence style of the Bosphorus. Before the Sadullah Paşa family, the structure had been owned by the Governor of Baghdad, Hamdi Paşa. It was then purchased by Esat Muhlis Paşa, who passed it on to his son, Sadullah Paşa. In the early 20th century, the men’s section (selamlık) was destroyed and the harem was reorganized. The mansion has been used as a concert and exhibition venue since TAÇ Foundation renovated its wooden construction, siding, and electrical wiring, and completed its landscaping in 1977.
